Grass Roots team and individual classes are aimed to give riders their first taste of competitions in a more supportive environment.
Riders can have degrees of assistance in Grass Roots 40 & 50cm classes, before embarking on 60 & 70cm classes which are single phase.
The top 6 teams & individuals at all heights qualify for Grass Roots Regional Championships. Schools can enter as many of these regional finals as they like. The aim of a regional final is to reduce the amount of travelling time in the initial stages of competing.

Aditionally, the top 6 teams and individuals qualify for the NSEA Grass Roots Championships at Hickstead in August (see competition dates)
