Since 2012, School Games competitions take place at in counties and encompass a range of school sports including athletics, swimming, football etc. Each county decides which sports they would like to do.

The NSEA are the 'operational drivers' of the equestrian element of the school games in each county and work with the BEF, BHS, BE, BD, BS, RDA & PC

The equestrian element of the school games does not receive funding from the County Councils to run a competition in most counties, but the situation is always under review as funding priorities shift. In the counties where there is funding for equestrian competition, the NSEA have organised and run these competitions, working closely with the County Sports Partnerships and governing bodies. Historically, Gloucestershire and Dorset run annual events and Berkshire & Lincolnshire have also held equestrian competitions for the school games.
If the position changes in the future, the NSEA will advertise School Games in your county.

As an alternative to School Games funded by local government, the NSEA run County show Jumping and dressage qualifiers for every county which are also RPL competitions, which are open to all NSEA members.
For further information click the Competition tab > County SJ Qualifiers or County DR Qualifiers pages.
The winning team & individual from each county will represent their county, as well as their school, at the National Schools County Championships

All participating schools need to be NSEA members.
These competitions count for RPL Points.
Only schools situated withing the county can represent that county at the county championships.
